Lifetime Warranty Policy
Lifetime Warranty Policy
At Myshwel, we stand behind the craftsmanship of our jewellery. Our Lifetime Warranty is designed to provide ongoing support for eligible manufacturing and care requirements.
1 Coverage Overview
The Myshwel Lifetime Warranty applies to all eligible Myshwel pieces, including:
- Gold jewellery
- Silver jewellery
- Gold vermeil jewellery
- Gemstone jewellery
Coverage applies subject to the terms, inspection standards, and exclusions described below.
2 What Is Included? (Complimentary Labour)
The Lifetime Warranty includes complimentary labour for eligible ongoing care services:
Jewellery Cleaning
Complimentary cleaning to maintain the shine and radiance of your piece.
Polishing
Complimentary polishing where appropriate for the specific metal and finish.
Diamond Resetting
If a diamond falls out and the original diamond is recovered, resetting labour is free of charge (subject to inspection).
Repairs & Resizing
Complimentary repair labour and ring resizing labour, subject to technical feasibility.
3 Replacement Materials (Chargeable)
While the warranty covers eligible labour, replacement materials are chargeable where required to complete a repair. This includes:
- Replacement diamonds or gemstones (if lost or unrecoverable);
- Gold, silver, or other precious metals;
- Replacement structural components or findings.
For example: If a diamond is lost and cannot be recovered, the customer is responsible for the cost of the replacement diamond, while the setting labour remains complimentary under the warranty.
4 Vermeil & Gemstone Specifics
Vermeil Jewellery: Vermeil consists of gold plating over 925 sterling silver. Natural wear of gold plating over time is a normal occurrence and not considered a manufacturing defect. Re-vermeiling or re-plating services are provided as a chargeable service.
Gemstones: Where a gemstone is lost or damaged and a replacement is required, the new gemstone will be chargeable. Eligible repair labour remains complimentary.
6 Ring Resizing
Myshwel provides complimentary resizing labour, subject to design limitations.
- Some complex designs or full-eternity bands may not be suitable for repeated resizing due to stone settings or structural characteristics.
- Shipping costs for resizing are generally borne by the customer.
- If the original size was supplied incorrectly due to an error by Myshwel, Myshwel will cover all applicable shipping costs.
7 What Is Not Covered?
The Lifetime Warranty does not cover:
- Loss or theft of the jewellery;
- Repairs, resizing, or alterations performed by third parties;
- Accidental damage, misuse, or improper handling;
- Damage caused by exposure to chemicals;
- Normal wear and tear (including scratches or natural wear of vermeil plating);
- Loss of stones where the cause is not attributable to a manufacturing defect.
8 Inspection, Shipping & Third-Party Repairs
Warranty Inspection: All claims are subject to physical inspection by our manufacturing team to verify whether an issue stems from a manufacturing defect, wear and tear, or accidental damage.
Shipping: Unless otherwise agreed by Myshwel, customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with lifetime warranty services.
Third-Party Repairs Void Warranty: Any repair, alteration, resizing, polishing, setting, or modification performed by an external third-party jeweller will void the Myshwel Lifetime Warranty. Always contact us directly before arranging outside repairs.
